Sara Jo Swedenburg, 4, of 721 Vine St., Burlington, died at 2:28 a.m. Monday, June 3, 1996, at University Hospitals in Iowa City. Born Dec. 19, 1991 in Iowa City, she was the daughter of Dave and Karen Calhoun Swedenburg. Survivors include her father, Dave Swedenburg of Danville; her mother, Karen Swedenburg of Burlington; one sister, Charlene Swedenburg of Burlington; one brother Eric Swedenburg of Burlington; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. D.E. Poggemiller of West Burlington and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Swedenburg of Danville; her great grandmothers, Golda Poggemiller of West Burlington, Virginia Gilman of Fort Madison and Fern Johnson of Danville; aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by one sister.Visitation will begin after 8 a.m. Wednesday in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The funeral for Sara Jo Swedenburg will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Jack Howard officiating. Burial will be in Babyland in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, University of Iowa Hospitals.
