John W. Ziglar, 70, of 2014 S. Fourth St., died at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at Burlington Medical Center. Born Feb. 4, 1916, in Burlington, he was the son of John W. and Dora Schuster Ziglar Sr. Mr. Ziglar was a graduate of Burlington Junior College and the Indiana Tech College, Fort Wayne, Ind. He had been a research chemist for Universal Oil Products, Des Plaines, ill. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and the Burlington Bridge Club. Surviving are his mother of Burlington; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy (Harold) French of Burlington; two brothers, Richard A. Ziglar of Burlington, and Paul Ziglar of Miami; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lunning Chapel. Services for Mr. Ziglar will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Burdette officiating. The casket will remain closed as requested by the family. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Asbury United Methodist Church
