Obituary
Clarence Bloomberg, 28, well-known young man and native of Burlington, passed away at 5:30 this morning at the home of his father-in-law, Emil Behal, 1127 Doemland street. Mr. Bloomberg had been in ill health for some time and his condition has been regarded as serious for about five weeks.
Clarence was born in Burlington, March 10, 1899, and received his early education in Buena Vista school, in this county. He was married, October 5, 1920, to Miss Josephine Behal and this city has been their home. To this union one son was born, the little fellow passing away when he was but two years old.
Mr. Bloomberg was well-known in a large circle of friends and there are many who will extend every sympathy to his widow. A man of pleasing disposition, he made last friendships and was popular. For eight years he was employed in the Henry Drug company of Burlington.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Josephine Bloomberg; two sisters, Mrs. EC Carlson of Long Island, NY, and Mrs. RC Miller of Cleveland, Ohio; three brothers, Charles, Otto, and Harry Bloomberg, all of Burlington.
The funeral will be held from the Unterkircher Funeral Home at 2:00 Friday afternoon, with Rev. Mr. Freden, pastor of Messiah Lutheran church, officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove.
