Obituary
Mrs. Tilda Youngquist succumbed to a lingering illness at Burlington hospital at 4:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Everything that medical skill could suggest had been tried, but without avail. For some time it has been apparent that there was no hope of recovery and when she passed away al her children were gathered at the bedside. Tilda Gustafson was born in Elmhult, Sweden, December 12, 1860. Some twenty-five years ago she came to this city, and she soon won friends here, whose number increased as the years passed by. In March 1882, she was married to A.J. Youngquist, the present efficient street commissioner. The union proved a very happy one and was blessed with five children: Harry, Elsfield, Maurice, Blaine and Virginia. Mrs. Youngquist is also survived by five sisters and two brothers. Deceased was an earnes and consistent member of the Messiah Lutheran church, a good woman, who will be mourned by all who knew her. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon. There will be private services at the home, No 509 South Marshall St., and a t 2 o'clock there will be a service at the church, to which the friends are invited.
