Irvin Dankwardt, 46, formerly of Burlington, died early Wednesday morning at St. Joseph's hospital, Aurora, Ill., after a 4-week illness. He was born in Burlington Jan. 10, 1908, the son of Herman and Mary Dankwardt, 1801 Roosevelt. He went to Aurora eight years ago and was a machine operator. Surviving are his parents; a sister, Estella, of Burlington, and a brother, Ralph, of Burlington. The body is to arrive at Wallen's chapel tonight. Services will be Friday at 9 a.m. in St. Mary/s Catholic church, West Burlington, preceded by short prayers at the funeral home at 8:30. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. The rosary will be recited Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Wallen's.
