Services for Bertha Dankwardt, 83, of 1827 Edwards, who died Friday, will be Monday at 9 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic church. Father James Quinian will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. A member of a pioneer Burlington family, she was born in Burlington, Sept. 14, 1880, the daughter of F. Otto and Mary Lynch Dankwardt. She married Matt Madlander, in Des Moines county. Following the death of her husband and two daughters, she resumed the use of her maiden name. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church. There are no survivors.
