Obituary
The body of Mrs. Philip M. Crapo, who died Sunday at Pasadena, Cal., will arrive in Burlington this afternoon and will be taken to Prugh's chapel. Burial services will be held at the grave in Aspen Grove cemetery at 11 o'clock Saturday morning. Mrs. Crapo, as well as her late husband for whom Crapo park is named, did much welfare work here and in other places where she lived. Resolutions on the death of Mrs. Crapo, passed at Lewiston, Idaho, where she went with her children to live after Mr. Crapo's death, tell something of the work she did. There she served as a member of the library board and was instrumental in increasing its membership and gave freely of her means through the instrumentality of the Tsceminicum club for its betterment and enlargement in scope. She endowed a room in the Children's home and was active in its affairs until her health failed. Her benefactions, known only to herself, were numerous. She was interested in Near East Relief work and accepted the responsibility of maintaining two Serbian children in their native land.
