Obituary

Mr. Charles E. Enhorning, 74, of Burlington died at 12:20 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born April 19, 1942 in Burlington, he was the son of Clarence E. and Florence Mae (Faigle) Enhorning. On August 17, 1963 he married E. Jean Kern in Burlington.
Mr. Enhorning was a 1960 graduate of Burlington High School. He worked at SSS Gray Foundry for 18 years. He also worked as supervisor of security at the Wal-mart Distribution Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Mr. Enhorning was a past member of New London Odd Fellows. He loved classic cars and was a member of the '55, '56, and '57 Chevy Club. He collected Wal-mart semis and Santa Claus figurines. He also loved going to flea markets and Christmas was his favorite holiday.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Enhorning of Burlington; two daughters, Kelly Jeffers and Michelle Bartels both of Burlington; one son, Corey Enhorning of Burlington; four grandchildren, Brandon Enhorning, Kristina Scott, Roger (Marty) Scott and Trista Scott; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Beverly J. (James) Felland of Burlington; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, Michael David in 1966 and brother Raymond.
The funeral service for Mr. Enhorning will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 14th, at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Larry Dodds officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the time of service. Inurnment will be at a later date in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
Cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel and will be accorded following the funeral service.
