Ernest A. Bliss, 74, retired Burlington railroad employee and resident of this city for 53 yrs, died at his home at 11 o’clock last night after a week's illness with a heart ailment.
He was born in Oxfordshire, England, Oct. 14, 1864. On Jan. 26, 1898, he was married to Lillian C. Bellville here.
Surviving are a son, John, of Burlington; a brother, Cecil, West Burlingtonrural route; and one sister, Mrs. Agnes Collier, Lakeland, Fla. His wife preceded him in death.
Services will be held at Giles chapel at 2:30Tuesday, with internment in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Rev. WB Slater, pastor of First Christian church will officiate.
