Cecil H. Bliss, 84, 1832 Dehn, died Thursday in Mercy hospital.
He was born Nov. 12, 1875, in England, and was married on Oct. 24, 1899, to the former Eliza Sheppard at Cedar Rapids. He was a member of the First Christian Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Alta Dalton and Mrs. Ellen Kracht of Burlington, and Mrs. Edith Blondahl of Aurora, Ill.; four sons, Edward, Lyman, and Richard Bliss of Burlington, and Clarence Bliss of Kenosha, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Collier of Lakeland, Fla., and Kate Bliss of England; a brother, Tom Bliss, of England; 15 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. His parents and his wife are dead.
Services will be held Monday at 1:30 in the Giles funeral home, the Rev. LZ Patton officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
