Obituary
The death of Mrs. SD Blanke, wife of the well-known member of the insurance firm of Guelich & Blanke, which occurred Saturday evening at her home, 824 North Eighth street, was a startling surprise to her numerous friends, but few of them knowing of her illness, which began very suddenly with inflammation of the bowels last Wednesday. Her illness was very severe until Saturday morning when she seemed much improved, but it is believed paralysis of the heart developed and that this caused her death as stated above.
Mrs. Blanke was born in this city thirty-three years ago and her maiden name was Caroline Bergenbrink. On November 25, 1881, she married Samuel D. Blanke, who with a boy four years old are left to mourn the untimely death of a loving wife and mother.
The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon with services at the German Methodist church on Washington street at half-past two o’clock.
