Henry Y. Blake, native of Burlington who moved to Old Mexico as a young man, died in Corpus Christi, Tex., last night following an extended illness.
He was born here March 10, 877, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Melville Blake. On moving to Mexico he entered business in Mexico City, residing there for some time, later moving to Tampico, Mexico, where he had lived since.
Mr. Blakeis survived by his widow, two sons, Melville and Lawrence, and a daughter, Mrs. RF Francis Almand, all of Laredo, Tex.; three sisters, Miss Myra Blake of this city, Mrs. CL Riegel of Devenport, Ia., and Mrs. NS Jewel of Little York, Ill.; ad two brothers, Wilson Blake of Roseburg, Ore., and Edgar Blake of Lexington, Miss.
The funeral will be in Corpus Christi, but internment will be in Aspen Grove cemetery here Saturday. The body will be taken to Prugh’s chapel on arrival.
Committal services for Mr. Henry Y. Blake, who passed away in Corpus Christi, Texas, will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Saturday afternoon at 3:00. The remains will arrive in Burlington, Saturday morning and be taken to Prugh’s Chapel. The cortege will leave the chapel at 2:45. There will be no services other than the committal service, which will be private.
