Obituary
Mrs. Anna Bacher Blake, a former Ottumwan, died in Omaha early this morning. A native of Burlington, she was born there February 27, 1898. She had been a resident of Ottumwa for approximately 20 years prior to moving to Omaha in 1944. She was a member of the Burlington Veterans association here and the EC Blackmer chapter of Order of the Eastern Star in Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, DeWitt D. Blake, April 29, 1944.
Mrs. Blake is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Anna Louise Morey of Omaha; two sisters, Mrs. Bess Fitchener of Burlington and Mrs. Jack Ruthford of Chicago; and four brothers; Fred Bacher of Chicago and Freeman, George and Jack Bracher, all of Burlington.
The body will be returned to Ottumwa Tuesday afternoon. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 pm at the Jay funeral home.
Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington.
