Patricia "Pat" Anne Champagne, 83, of Burlington, died at 9:50 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2008, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington. Born July 27, 1924, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Eugene and Fern Bettinger Champagne. Miss Champagne worked at IRC/TRW for several years. She was a graduate of Burlington High School and Simpson College with a degree in music. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was the choir director. She enjoyed music. Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Champagne and Murial Champagne, both of Burlington; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Lunning Chapel in Burlington. The funeral for Miss Champagne will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Trevor Davis officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. Memorials have been established for Grace United Methodist Church and Great River Hospice House.
