Adam Snyder, an ex-soldier having served in the world war and an employe of the Burlington Route at the shops, died Wednesday night at 11:50 o'clock in his home, 721 Vine street. He was born in Iowa September 8, 1890, and was 31 years old. He came to Burlington with his parents when he was a child. He attended the West Hill school, passed the apprenticeship as a machinist at the West Burlington shops and was a member of the Machinists' union. When his country called him he enlisted in the 118th Engineers corps and served in France until the Armistice was signed. Mr. Snyder was married to Miss Jessie Corman July 15, 1908. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Snyder. He was a member of the Christian church and was well known in Burlington. Besides his wife and parents he leaves two brothers, Louis M. Snyder of Los Angeles, Calif.; three sisters, Miss Jean, Miss Frances and Miss Ida Snyder, all of Burlington. Funeral arrangement will be made later.
