Lloyd Donald Woodruff, 72, of 725 Harrison Ave., died in St. Francis hospital at midnight. He was the son of Lee and Hattie Peabody Woodruff, and was born Aug. 24, 1894. Mr. Woodruff was a life resident of Burlington. He was a retired maintenance man for the Burlington public school system. He served with the famed Rainbow Division in World War I. He was married to the late Elsie Morris at Kahoka, Mo., in 1938. Mr. Woodruff was of the Christian faith, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving: A brother, Grant Woodruff, St. Petersburg, Fla.; sisters Mrs. Agnes Meyer and Mrs. Harriet Schwarte, both of Burlington. The body is at the Prugh Chapel.
