Obituary
Mr. William H. Hall, 69, of 812 Dunham, died Thursday morning in Klein Memorial hospital after a one-year illness. He was hospitalized five weeks. He was born here Feb. 7, 1894, the son of Dr. L.C. and Ella Atchison Hall, and was branch manager for the National Cash Register Co. 20 years, retiring early in 1960. Mr. Hall was of the Presbyterian faith, and was a member of the Elks lodge, American Legion, the State University of Iowa's I club, United Commercial Travelers, and Phi Theta Pi fraternity. He served in the field artillery during World War I. Mr. Hall married the former Sybil Farley at St. Paul, Minn., May 14, 1936. Surviving are his wife; a sister, Margaret E. Hall, of Burlington; and a nephew C.W. Hall, of Trumbull, Conn. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in Prugh's chapel, the Rev. Roscoe Wolvington officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove.
