August William Bischoff, 1302 Valley St., died in Burlington hospital, Thursday at 10 pm after an extended illness.
He was born in this city, on December 19, 1859, the son of George and Julia Bischoff, and had resided here his entire lifetime. Oct. 18, 1905, in Burlington, he was united in marriage with Louise Hilltz.
He was a member of Zion Evangelical and Reformed church and for 43 years had been a member of the Eagles lodge. He was also a member of the upholsterer’s union, having been employed at the Chittenden Eastman Co. for 25 years.
Surviving are his widow; 2 sisters, Clara and Julia Bischoff; 3 brothers, Louis and Albert Bischoff; of this city and Arthur of Fullerton, Calif.
Funeral services will be held in Prugh’s chapel Sunday at 3:30 pm Dr. RR Belter will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
