August John Birzele, 66-year-old life resident of Burlington, died at 6:15 am Tuesday an extended illness.
For a number of years, he made his home at 312 Barrett St. with a sister, the late Mrs. Mary Weimer. He was born Aug. 10, 1886, in Burlington, a son of the late August and Eleanor Sauer Birzele, and never married.
Birzele was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church. Surviving are a brother, Adolph Birzele, Omaha, Neb.; four nieces and two nephews. Three brothers and two sisters are dead.
Services will be at 2 pm Thursday in Prugh’s chapel with Rev. Paul Gregoroff officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
