Obituary
Lloyd M. Boyd. of 501 S. 8th street, died at 4:05 a. m. Thursday at St. Francis hospital after a long illness. He was born in Biggsville, Ill., sept. 24, 1893 and had lived in Burlington for 25 years. He served 5 1/2 years in World war I, suffering wounds from which he never completely recovered. He was a member of the DAV and the Methodist church.
He was married Dec. 24, 1920 to Elsie Nelson, in Kahoka, Mo., who survives together with a sister Mrs. Mae Corzatte, Galesburg; a brother, Earnest Boyd, in Burlington; step - mother, Mrs. Emma Boyd, New London; 3 step- sisters and one step-brother.
Funeral services will be held at the Giles funeral home Saturday at 2 p. m. with Rev. Deane Chapman officiating. Interment will
be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
