Obituary
Shortly after noon today, Mrs. Sarah Amphrey Birkett passed away at her home NO. 1305 Osborn Street.
Deceased was born in Wales, eighty-two years ago. And when but a young girl removed to America. In 1851, she moved to this state and a few years later settled in Burlington. Her husband died a number of years ago and since that time she had been living at her residence on Osborn Street.
She was a good Christian woman, and although she lived a secluded life during later years she leaves many friends to mourn her loss. For some years she had been in ill health and for the last few months, her condition rapidly grew worse.
She is survived by but one daughter, Mrs. Mary J. Drury, of Los Angeles, California.
