Obituary
Joseph Binder passed away at Mercy hospital at 1 p.m. yesterday after months of illness.
He was born in Burlington, August 17, 1867, and had spent practically all his days here. He was industrious and of cheerful temper, and kindly and friendly toward all. He lived on the family place, on Mt. Pleasant Road. Joseph Binder was married to Bertha Gantz, June 22, 1892, and the happy union was blessed with four children, of whom three mourn with the widow as follows: Walter, Arthur, and Cathrine. He is also mourned by five brothers, Charles, Edward, Theodore, Hermann, and August Binder, and a sister, Mrs. William Warth. His mother, Mrs. Augusta Binder was laid away in Aspen Grove April 3.
Until a few months ago, Joseph was the very picture of health, and he seemed destined to a ripe old age. Many will hold him in kindly remembrance.
The funeral will take place from the family home on Monday afternoon.
