Gottlob John Binder, a resident of Burlington for 63 years, died at 11:30 pm Saturday at the home of a sister, Clara Binder, 1732 Sunnyside Avenue, following a 7-month illness.
Born in Germany on July 9, 1875, he followed the profession of leatherworker for over 40 years, retiring in 1941. He had never married. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Church and Burlington lodge, No. 8. AOUW.
Survivors are 3 sisters, Clara Binder, Mrs. John F. Koch, and Mrs. Frank Suesens, and one brother, Edward Binder, all of Burlington. There are 7 brothers dead.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday at Burnett-Wallen funeral home with Rev. AF Koelling officiating. Burial will be at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
