Mrs. Elizabeth Voss Binder, 78, of Burlington, died at 5 pm Wednesday at St. Francis hospital after an illness of 3 months.
A life resident of the Burlington area, she was born here on Jan. 16, 1872, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Voss. She was married to Edward J. Binder on Feb. 4, 1891, in Burlington. Mrs. Binder was a member of Zion Evangelical Church, the Ladies aid, and Hawkeye natives.
Surviving are a son, Edwin A. Binder, Burlington; 3 grandchildren, Edward Binder, Lynwood, Calif.; Clarence Binder and Mrs. Emily Gough, both of California; and 3 great-grandchildren. Her husband, a son, and 2 brothers are dead.
Services will be at 2 pm Saturday at Giles funeral home with Rev. RG Beck officiating. Burial will be at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
