Albert H. Binder, 90, formerly of 2600 Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, June 11, in the Klein Unit of Burlington Medical Center.
Born Jan. 5, 1896, in Burlington, he was the son of Theodore and Caroline Catherine Schoelkopf Binder. He married Edna Rose March on June 6, 1918, in Carthage, Ill; she died March 21, 1963. He then married Mae Lind on April 4, 1970; she died March 11, 1976.
He was a member of the 1915 Burlington High School state football champions, the First Presbyterian Church, Railroad Veterans, and the American Legion. He was an Army veteran of WWI He was employed by the CB&Q Railroad.
Surviving is a brother, Harry, Logansport, Ind.
The family will receive friends from 7:30-8:30 pm Sunday at Lunning Chapel.
Graveside services for Mr. Binder will be 11 am Monday at Aspen Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Gilbert officiating.
