Ernest Ray Billings, 54, of 1610 Osborn Street, well-known local barber, died Monday at 10:10 am in St. Francis hospital after suffering a stroke early Sunday morning in the hospital. He had been a medical patient in the hospital for several days.
He was born in Kingston, Aug. 25, 1893, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Billings, and was a member of the Frist Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife and a brother, Ralph, of Burlington.
The body was taken to Prugh’s chapel.
Funeral services for Mr. Ernest Ray Billings will be held in the First Christian Church, Wednesday afternoon at 3:00. The body will be taken from Prugh’s Chapel to the church at 1:00 to lie in state until services begin. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
