Bessie D. Billings, 62, 1610 Osborn, died at Burlington hospital Wednesday at 4:25 am after an extended illness.
She was born in Des Moines county, Aug. 2, 1894, the daughter of David and Minnie Holland DeSpain. She was married to Raymond Billings at Danville. She was a member of the Christian church.
Surviving are a brother, Walter DeSpain, Fairfield; two nephews, and four nieces. Her husband, an infant daughter, two brothers, and one sister are dead.
Services will be from Prugh’s chapel, Friday at 2 pm with Rev. LZ Patton officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
