Obituary
Mrs. Maude Bierman, 1009 S. 7th street, suffered a stroke while washing in the basement of her home Monday morning and died at 11 am in Mercy hospital, shortly after being admitted to the hospital.
She was born in Lockridge on May 16, 1884, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Turngren, and had been a resident of Burlington for 60 years. She married Fred Bierman in Des Moines on May 20, 1914. She was a member of the First Methodist church, the Rebeccas, and the railroad veterans auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Jack T. Bierman, Chicago, and one grandson. Funeral services will be held in Prugh’s chapel at 3:30 pm Friday. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
