Gustave G. Bierman, 86, of 911 Shields, died Sunday at 7:50 pm in Burlington hospital where he had been a medical patient for 4 ½ weeks.
He was born Sept. 30, 1867, in Dallas City, Ill., the son of John and Theresa Bierman. March 18, 1867, he married Matilda Lung in Dallas City, Ill. He was a foreman at the Northwestern Cabinet Co., until his retirement in 1947. He was a member of First Methodist Church.
Surviving are the widow and a number of nieces and nephews. Four brothers and two sisters died previously.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 pm at the Wallen chapel. Dr. Deane Chapman will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
