Obituary
Mrs. Emma Bieg, 57, of 1115 Doemland street, passed away during the night at the home of her son, JR Bieg in Davenport, Iowa. She had gone to Davenport about two weeks ago as she had been in ill health and it was thought that rest, while a guest at her son's home, would be of benefit. However, her condition failed to improve and she passed away during the night.
Mrs. was born in St. Louis, Mo., on August 12, 1869, and she has been a resident of Burlington for thirty years. Her husband died 26 years ago and one son Fred passed away in 1918. She was a member of the First Evangelical church of this city; of the degree of Honor, the Silver Star Circle, and the WRC.
Surviving are JR and WF Bieg of Davenport, Mrs. W. Lehman, Mrs. W. Schiefer, and Mrs. E. Ried all of Burlington and six grandchildren. The remains will be brought here for burial.
Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Bieg, who died Monday night at the home of her son in Davenport, will be held from the home, 1115 Doemland street, at 2:30 July 14, 1927. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
