Obituary

Fred K. Bieg, of No. 1127 Mercer street, passed away Sunday morning at 3:10 at St. Francis Hospital, after an illness of only a few weeks.
Mr. Bieg was born in St. Louis on October 12, 1890, and was 27 years old at the time of his death. He came to this city with his parents when only a child and had made his residence here since that time. The deceased had been employed in the C, B. & Q shops for the last ten years and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. He was a member of the Lutheran church, of the AOUW, and of the Boilermakers, Iron Shipbuilders, and Helpers of America, which was organized here a short time ago.
He had never married, but lived with his mother; his father, John R. Bieg, having preceded him in death by eighteen years. He was a very patriotic young man, and the news of his death will sadden the hearts of his large circle of friends.
Besides his mother, Mrs. Emma Bieg, he leaves three sisters, Miss Elsie and Miss Esther Bieg, at home and Mrs. Walter Schueffer, and two brothers, William F. Bieg, or Burlington, and Richard J. Bieg, of Davenport, IA
The funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 from the family residence, No. 1128, Mercer Street. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Friends are invited to attend.
