Mrs. Ida Bettinger, 86, of 2210 Mt. Pleasant street, who had been bedridden since suffering a fall 2 years ago, died at 5:55 am Monday at her home.
She was born Feb. 15, 1866, in Des Moines County, a daughter of George and Liza Ann Brown Corbett, and was married to Leonard G. Bettinger, who died in March 1946. She was a member of the Nazarene Church.
Surviving are 2 sisters, Mrs. EG Tegtmeier, Burlington, and Mrs. Myrtle Heywood, Washington, DC; and several nieces and nephews.
The body is at Prugh’s chapel. Funeral will be at 3:30 pm Wednesday at Prugh’s chapel. Mrs. Bettinger was a member of First Presbyterian church. The body was taken from the funeral home to the residence Tuesday morning and will be returned Wednesday afternoon. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
Husband's obituary mentions two surviving children, her obituary does not. With some research, it was found that they survived Ida as well so not sure why they aren't mentioned.
