Mrs. Sadie Wiele, 60, of 1801 Madison, died at University hospital at Iowa City Tuesday at 5:55 pm where she had been a patient since Jan. 25.
Mrs. Wiele was born Sept. 23, 1902l at Eidelstein, Ill., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rumbold. She was married to John W. Bertlshofer. He died in 1952. On Oct. 2, 1956, she married George H. Wiele at Burlington.
She was a former employee of Chittenden and Eastman Co. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Moose Auxiliary, and Izaak Walton Auxiliary. Surviving are: her husband; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Gehrig, Princeville, Ill., Mrs. Nora Catton, Yates City, Ill., Mrs. Florence Rickena, Chillicothe, Ill.; five brothers, Harry Rumbold, Princeton, Ill., Lloyd, Garden Grove, Calif., Fred Los Angeles, Calif., Ed, Peoria, Ill., and Herbert, Princeton, Ill.; several nieces and nephews. A brother died earlier.
The body is at Giles Funeral Home.
Services for Mrs. Sadie Wiele, 60, of 1801 Madison Avenue, who died Tuesday in University Hospitals in Iowa City, will be held at Bethany Lutheran church at 1:30 Saturday afternoon. Rev. Earl Meissner will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church from the Giles funeral home at 10 am Saturday.
