Mrs. Louise Schmicker Berquist, 75, of 2024 Summer St., died in St. Francis hospital Monday morning at 9:35.
The Rev. John M. Schultz pastor of Zion United Church of Christ will conduct last rites at the Giles Chapel at 2 pm Wednesday. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
Mrs. Berquist was the daughter of August and Louise Praetz Schmicker, and was born in Burlington on Jan. 17, 1890. She was married to Mr. EH (Mick) Berquist on Feb. 23, 1910. He survives, as do two sons and two daughters; Richard Berquist, Mason Rd.; Kenneth Berquist, 1841 Kirkwood; and Mrs. Elsie Mack and Mrs. Donna Moore, both of Davenport.
Also surviving are three sisters; Mrs. Bertha Martin, 708 Spring; Mrs. Mame Tiemeier, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Erma Schmicker of Ft. Madison. There are three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A brother, Arthur Schmicker, died previously.
