Elvin H. (Mick) Berquist, 81, of 2024 Summer, died Friday at 7:45 am in Burlington hospital.
He was born Feb. 15, 1887, in Burlington, the son of Peter Olaf and Mathilda Berquist. Feb. 23, 1910, he married Louise Schmicker in Burlington. Mr. Berquist was a Chittenden and Eastman employee for 47 years, a member of the upholsterer’s union and St. Luke’s United Church of Christ.
Surviving: two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Mack, Milan, Ill., and Mrs. Donna Moore, Cedar Rapids; a son, Richard, Mason Rd.; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Kinsley, San Mateo, Calif.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services: Monday 10:30 am in Giles Funeral home, the Rev. Donald Klohr; Aspen Grove cemetery.
