Mrs. Shirley O. Bernard, 49, of 420 E. Agency Road, West Burlington, died in Burlington Medical Center at 1 am Thursday, June 10.
She was born Jan. 13, 1933, in Illinois to William and Gladys Rayborn Merriman.
A retired employee of Gale Products Co., Galesburg, Ill., she was a member of Sunnyside Ave. Baptist Church.
Surviving; Two sons, William Merriman and Bruce Bernard, both in Hawaii; Brother Dearborn Merriman, O’Fallon, Ill.; sister Arlene Adams, Killeen, Texas; and one granddaughter.
Funeral: Prugh’s Chapel Saturday at Prugh’s Chapel. The Rev. Mr. Bill Ivey will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the chapel between 7:30 and nine o’clock Friday evening
