Gertrude Louise Berges, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Berges, 822 Sycamore Street, died at her home early last evening after a five-week illness.
She was born in Burlington on March 31, 1927, and was an eighth-grade student at Oak Street Junior High school. She was a member of the First Evangelical church.
She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. CH Berges; four sisters, Geraldine, Eleanor, Evelyn, and Lorraine; two brothers, Herman and Melvin, all a home and her grandfather, E.A. Fillman of Monmouth, Ill.
Funeral services have been arranged for Friday at 2:00 at the residence. The Rev. JH Buescher will officiate. The body will remain at the Burnett-Wallen funeral home until 4 pm Thursday and then will be removed to the residence. Burial services will be announced later.
