Elza Rosalinde Berges, 83, 1409 N. Eighth, died Saturday, Jan. 31, at 9:50 pm, at St. Francis hospital where she had been a patient since Jan. 16.
She was born April 11, 1886, in Monmouth, Ill., the daughter of Herman H. and Lizetta Young Berges.
Miss Merges was a member of the First United Church of Christ.
Surviving: a brother, Carl Henry Berges, Burlington; nieces and nephews include Mrs. Omer Wickerham and Melvin Berges, both of Burlington.
Services: Wednesday, 2:30 pm, First United Church of Christ; Rev. Donald V. Klohr; Aspen Grove Cemetery. The body will be taken from Prugh’s Chapel to the church Wednesday, 10 am, to lie in state until time for services.
