Obituary
Martin E. Benson, of 915 ½ Hagemann Avenue, passed away today, after an extended illness. He was born July 3, 1888, and was 31 years old at the time of death. He was born and reared in Burlington and received his education in the local schools.
Mr. Benson was united in marriage to Miss Florence Larken, June 21, 1916. He was a faithful employee of the West Burlington shops as a machinist, and a member and active worker in the Messiah Lutheran Church. His passing is mourned by many friends.
Besides his wife, he leaves his mother and father, two sisters, and a brother. The funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 from the Messiah Lutheran Church. Friends are invited to attend. The private interment will be at Aspen Grove cemetery.
