Harry Benson, 74, a former Burlingtonian, who recently operated a pool room at Ipava, Ill.; died at 9:45 am Saturday at Mercy Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born May 8, 1876, at Monmouth, Ill., the son of Oliver and Celia Lander Benson. Surviving are 2 sisters, Mrs. Nettie McCannon and Mrs. Emma Sutcliffe, both of Burlington. One sister and a brother are dead.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Monday at Prugh’s chapel with Rev. Earl Woodard officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
