Mrs. Ida Benham, 88, a resident of Burlington for 67 years, died Friday at 3:20 am in a nursing home, 809 N. 4th St.
She was born in Sweden, March 1, 1860, and was the widow of George Benham, whom she married in 1884. She was a member of the Emanual Lutheran Church, West Burlington, and the DAR.
Surviving is 2 grandchildren, Mrs. Ralph A Dorner, Des Moines, and Dr. AC Bloom, Clinton; and 4 great-grandchildren, Mrs. Ralph A Dorner, Des Moines, and Dr. AC Bloom, Clinton; and 4 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. C. Bloom, of Burlington, and an infant daughter are dead.
Services will be held in the Emanuel Lutheran church Sunday at 1:45 pm the cortege will leave Prugh’s chapel at 1:30. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
