Herman H Beneke, aged 17 years, passed away at 1:30 this morning at his home 1314 Ashmund Street. He has been employed at the Northwestern Cabinet company and his death was due to dropsy. He leaves a number of relatives and many friends.
The funeral of Herman H. Beneke held this afternoon at the deceased’s late residence on Ashmun street and at the First German Evangelical church was one of the largest of the year. Throngs of friends of the unfortunate young man turned out to pay their last respects. The funeral procession numbered twenty carriages. The Rev. Mr. Michaels preached an eloquent sermon at the services.
