Henry Fred Beneke, 1314 Ashmun Street, died at Burlington Hospital late yesterday afternoon. He has been in poor health for 2 ½ years.
Born in Magdeburg, Germany, Feb 15, 1864, he had made his home in Burlington since coming to this country 70 years ago.
On Feb 26, 1892, he was united in marriage with Anna Frederica Gerdner in Burlington. Surviving are his wife; one son, Harry Beneke of Burlington; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A son and one daughter preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at First Evangelical Church Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The cortege will leave the church at 1:45. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
