Obituary
Following an illness of twelve weeks, eleven of which he was confined in the Mercy hospital, James T. Bell, 78, of 2100 Madison Avenue, died in that institution at 12:30 Sunday morning.
Mr. Bell was born in Ohio, April 25, 1845. He was married to Carrie E. Lightfoot in 1872. She preceded him in death Jan. 1, 1917. To this union were born eight children, two of whom died in infancy. The surviving members of the family are; Edgar M. Bell, of Oakville; Mrs. Berta Swanson, of Mediapolis; Mrs. Lillian Wever, of Spring Grove; Mrs. Eva Sherrott, Mrs. Mabel Zachmeyer of Burlington, and Miss Henrietta Bell, at home. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Henry Mellinger, of Yarmouth, Mrs. Alice Waterhouse of Oakville, one brother, William Bell of Kissee Mills, Mo., and sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held from the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial will be made in the Aspen Grove Cemetery.
