James Bell, 81, 214 Summer, West Burlington, died at the nursing home at 1107 Summer Monday night.
He was a retired employee of the Chittenden and Eastman Company having worked as a building fireman for a number of years.
Born in Burlington April 11, 1872, he was the son of John and Isabella Sutton Bell and was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are a brother, Abraham, West Burlington; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Keil, Chicago, Mrs. Catherine Vannerburg, and Annetta Bell, West Burlington, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 pm in Prugh’s Chapel with the Rev. A E Brent officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
