Obituary
William Behne, a gardener living on Madison Avenue, passed away this morning after a period of invalidism covering twenty-four years. Mr. Behne was born in Germany forty-eight years ago but came with his parents to this country when a youth. He was a son of August Behen, the well-known Madison Ave. farmer. A wife and four children, Charles, William, John, and Katie, survive him.
The funeral of Mr. Behne was held from Unterkircher’s chapel at 2:00 this afternoon (Dec. 16, 1904). Rev. Schieb of the Lutheran church on South Hill officiated. The following acted as pall-bearers; John Roth, Wm Krantz, John Hugg, Henery Meyers, C. Hartmann, and Louis Krekel.
