Obituary
Henry Behne, a resident of Burlington for 61 years, died at his home, 1114 Locust St., Sunday morning at 1:30. His death followed a lingering illness of many months from complications of heart disease and kidney trouble.
The deceased was born in Hanover, Germany, on February 8, 1852, and came to this country when ten years of age. He was a carpenter and plied his trade in this city continuously until he was incapacitated by the illness which caused his death. He was a member of the MWA lodge of Burlington.
He is survived by his wife and five daughters. They are: Mr.s John Paulus, Mrs. Fred Weidemmeier, Mrs. Oscar Munson, and Miss Nellie Behne of Burlington, and Mrs. Adolph Leibengnt of Detroit, Mich. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Anna Christ Doemling and Mrs. August Janssen of Burlington, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the home of his son-in-law, Oscar Munson, at 2057 Sunnyside Ave. Tuesday afternoon at 3:30.
