Obituary
Oliver Beebe, 71, a native of Iowa and resident of Burlington for 35 years, died at 3:30 am at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clarence Kisler, 408 Barrett street. He was well known in this vicinity, having conducted a barbershop in Burlington for 35 years. He had always enjoyed excellent health until a short time ago when he was afflicted with his final illness.
Mr. Beebe was born near Lowell, Ia., in Lee county, and spent the greater part of his life in this section. He was married in 1886 in Wichita, Kan., to Martha O. Parsons, who survives him. To this union were born four children. Two sons died in infancy, a daughter, Maud, died in 1904, and another daughter, Mrs. Kisler, survives. In addition to the widow and daughter, he is survived by one sister, Lydia Ewing, one step-sister, Mary Abernathey, of Chicago, one brother, Joe Cunningham, of Chicago, and two grandchildren, Glenn Kislet and Robert Kisler, of Burlington. He was a member of the Hawkeye Natives society.
Funeral services will be held at the Kisler home, Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock, with burial in Aspen Grove cemetery.
