Obituary
Mrs. Mary A. Beckman, 65, of 320 Emmett Street, died at St. Francis hospital this afternoon following an illness of three months.
She was a native and life resident of Des Moines county, born Feb. 9, 1870. Mrs. Beckman, the former Mary Housman, had lived in Burlington since 1903. On April 2, 1891, she was married in Franklin township to William G. Beckman, who survives. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran church.
Surviving besides her husband are a brother and a sister; William Housman, Rural Route 1, West Burlington, and Mrs. Lena Leidig, RR 1 Sperry, Ia. Two brothers preceded her in death.
Services will be held at the Burnett- Wallen Funeral Home at 2 pm Friday. The Rev. RR Belter, pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church will officiate and burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
