Martin H. Beckman, 80, died at 6:45 am on Sunday in Klein Memorial hospital where he had been a patient since May 1965.
Mr. Beckman was born Oct. 8, 1885, at Sperry. Married Apr. 24, 1907; his wife Alma C. Beckman died in 1962. Mr. Beckman, a retired farmer, had lived in Burlington for 21 years. He was a member of the First Methodist church and the Masonic Order.
Surviving; Two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Taylor, Farmington, NM, Mrs. FJ Smith, Burbank, Calif., brother Joe, Ottumwa; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services; 2 pm Wednesday, Prugh’s Chapel, the Rev. Dr. Horace Ireland, Aspen Grove Cemetery. Masonic Memorial Services will be held in Prugh’s Chapel, Tuesday evening at 7:30.
